The Kongo Central province has a great potential in becoming an oil and gas producer of both offshore and onshore and can support the DR Congo infrastructure to support the oil industry of the country.
There is need to do more exploration and mining can prove to be cheaper because if the oil and gas refinery can be build in the Banana port area then, white petroleum products can be refined to add value and be exported to Europe and America.
It is estimated that the province can produce xxx tonnes of oil. Since it is at the coast there will be very little cost, but the consortium can have pipelines going interior to supply rest of Congo with refined white petroleum product and excess exported.
