The projects intend to introduce polymer and neoweb technology in all DR Congo provinces Kongo Central to construct roads that are more durable, cheaper and faster to build.
KCFF LLC & Consortium and the funders has partnered the DR Congo government not only to finance and implement the Banana Combined Development projects but will also introduce a revolutionary road making technology using polymer and neoweb into the country.
The purpose of introducing this technology is to:
- Make roads faster that the project can start on target time (one kilometer in 2-3 days unlike traditional method).
- Cheaper roads with polymer and neoweb technology because of short construction system leading to 30-40 percent savings.
- Longer lasting roads build by polymer and neoweb technology which achieves high CBR levels of 150-250 as per results already done in other country.
- 3 main types of roads that can be constructed on any type of soil and we do not need to excate and throw the existing soil.
The project intend to build the roads on the entire Kongo Central province in order to connect mining sites, agricultural areas, other smaller towns to the proposed industrial park, city and port facilities.
We will have along the road planned infrastructure that will have a provision of water pipelines, oil and gas pipelines, railways and IT infrastructure.
- 8 lanes roads from Banana to Lubumbashi including all the bridges to create the Northern Corridor that will link up the landlocked countries of Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi with Kenya’s maritime port of Mombasa.
- All provinces roads.

KCFF LLC and its partners have already entered into a Protocol Agreement (PA) arrangement with the DRC Government to develop the Combined Development project that will see the creation of the BANANA COMBINED DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS/Cities that will boost tourism, fishing, farming, mineral processing and upcoming commercial development in the region.
The BANANA Combined Development project is a Privately Initiated Investment Proposal for KCFF per the provisions of Article 1 of the PA and Annexes 1 and 2 of the 2011 Government of the DR Congo.
The BANANA Combined Development project is in line with Vision 2030 of the Consortium Master Plan 2013. This shall form an important economic zone to serve Moanda, Banana, Bulambemba and Malela in the processing of the exploitation of natural resources.
The planned development program is meant to create, enabling environment that will lead to creation of an Industrial port / city and boost agriculture in general that will serve the whole of the Kongo Central province and its neighboring provinces. The special economic zone will see the growth of various components from an industrial port /City to having energy generation, water desalination, heavy mineral smelting industries, mining, agriculture and fishing will open up the hinterland and create wealth and employment opportunities to the country.
The main purpose of this project is to transform the region and bring development to the area in terms of creating, designing, funding and construction of technical industrial facilities and other related supporting infrastructure facilities to develop an industrial port /City. The project aims to:
- To use the available natural resources found in Kongo Central province and its neighboring provinces to create and develop mining and smelting industrial plants, in addition to developing agriculture and see the emergence of a vibrant fishing industry.
- To apply and use the latest technologies in terms of power and water generation, green industrial plants with less emissions, latest irrigation and agricultural practices and fishing that will make the Coastal area a future industrial hub, an agricultural center zone and a fishing zone for DR Congo and Africa with its proposed modern port facilities and related infrastructure development.
